What are we looking for? High quality poetry with good flow on any subject, and ideally humorous or satirical . Controversial? Cool! We are the magazine to submit to. We will require the odd love poem too, though no finger down the throat type please. Autobiographical is fine, but we don’t want to read about how depressed you are and about to chuck yourself off the nearest train platform. There is no guarantee of inclusion even of writing of the highest standard, due to available space. We would also be happy to receive informative, engaging articles on poetry. We do not object to any previously published work, prizewinning or otherwise.
Ideal length of poems: max of 30 lines or less or 60 lines, but will include up to approx 90 lines for exceptional work and space permitting.
we are now accepting submissions for Screech 3.
closing date for this Christmas edition is now closed, due to saturation. sorry folks, but there is always no.3!
editiors: indie skreet & ephraim crud
indie and eph met through a writing site, through their mutual love of poetry and their mutual dislike for the underhand way it was run!
Indie is the only Jewish nun in Essex (as far as she knows) and possibly the whole of the universe and is simultaneously editing her autobiography, Still Screwed at Fifty, Scrabble Babble, The Jewish Nun and Blandstory The True Story.
ephraim is working on three books simultaneously and despite many years spent on the keyboard, is yet to find the shift button.
